Corey Oswalt Throws Quality Start on Saturday
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Corey Oswalt notched a quality start on Saturday against the Miami Marlins. Oswalt fired six innings, allowing three runs on six hits to go along with three strikeouts. The right-hander, despite pitching well, was hit with a no-decision. Since blowing up earlier this season in a start against Miami, Oswalt has been a reasonable streaming option for the Mets, He is 1-1 with a 3.94 ERA in his last six starts and has yet to allow more than three runs in an outing in that span. With the return of Steven Matz (forearm) looming, the Mets are considering a six-man rotation to keep Oswalt pitching in the big leagues.
