Corey Kluber Working His Way Back to the Mound
5 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber (arm) had a "good checkup" with doctors yesterday according to manager Terry Francona. He said that Kluber will continue to do long toss until the doctors clear him to start throwing bullpens, which should be in the next few weeks. Kluber suffered a non-displaced fracture of his right ulna after taking a comebacker off his arm at the end of April. He hasn't pitched since but is determined to return before the end of the season. He seems very much on track to do that and would certainly be a welcome addition to a Cleveland team suddenly in the thick of the Wild Card race.
