Corey Kluber Suffers Setback
5 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber (abdominal, forearm) left his rehab start for Triple-A Columbus on Sunday early for precautionary reasons after one inning with left abdominal tightness. According to a report in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the injury could cause the Indians to shut him down for two weeks. Kluber, who had fractured his right forearm on May 1, was expected to throw around 75 pitches but ended up only throwing 20. At this point, there's no guarantee that Kluber will be able to return in 2019, although it's not out of the question. Fantasy owners should still keep him stashed, but he's unlikely to make many starts if he finds his way back into Cleveland's rotation next month.
