Corey Kluber Receives Injection In Knee
6 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber (knee) received an injection in his right knee on Friday, and he will not take part in the All-Star game next week. His knee has been affecting his mechanics, and the plan is for him to start the fourth game after the All-Star break on July 23 against the Pirates. The good news is Kluber won't have to miss any starts. The bad news is the perennial Cy Young candidate hasn't been himself as of late and has gone 1-3 with an un-Kluber like 6.14 ERA with an opponent's average of .292 in his last 22 innings over four starts. Hopefully the rest will get him right and he'll hit the ground running in the second half.
