Corbin Carroll Hits 14th Homer Of Season Tuesday
3 months agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll had a good day at the plate in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Marlins. Carroll went 2-for-4 with a single, a solo home run, and a strikeout. The 24-year-old drove a fifth-inning Edward Cabrera fastball to the opposite field, placing it over the left-field fence for his 14th long ball of the season. Carroll's season numbers still leave a lot to be desired. However, he has picked things up in the second half of the season, slashing .252/.339/.612 with nine HR, 31 runs scored, 19 RBI, and three stolen bases in 103 at-bats. The lack of steals is disappointing, but fantasy managers can't complain too much given the amount of power Carroll has provided.
