Corbin Burnes In Danger Of Losing Rotation Spot
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell admitted that the team will have a talk with starting pitcher Corbin Burnes after another rough outing in a loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday. The hard-throwing right-hander allowed nine hits and another two home runs while giving up five earned runs in 3 1/3 innings to St. Louis on Wednesday to raise his ghastly ERA to 10.70 on the year. He's allowed a whopping 30 hits and 11 long balls while fanning 24 and walking eight in his 17 2/3 innings over four starts. If Burnes remains in the rotation, he has no business being in starting lineups and probably should be dropped in a lot of deep mixed leagues.
