Corbin Burnes Gives Up Five Runs In Monday's Loss
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes turned in another lackluster start in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Mets. Burnes pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits (including a three-run home run) and a walk with four strikeouts. The 27-year-old still has a solid 3.12 ERA on the season, but he has failed to allow fewer than three runs in just one start out of his last seven. This makes things somewhat difficult for fantasy managers, who will have to decide if they trust Burnes on the road at the Reds in his next start. While the Reds' offense isn't great, their home ballpark is hitter-friendly. Fantasy managers may have an easier time considering sitting Burnes in roto leagues than points leagues this late in the season.
