3 months agoMiami Marlins second base prospect Connor Norby has gone 1-for-10 at the plate with six punchouts since joining the Miami Marlins organization. Norby was the headliner piece that sent left-handed pitcher Trevor Rogers to Baltimore at the deadline. However, at Triple-A Norfolk earlier this summer, the East Carolina product held an excellent .297/.382/.506 line with 16 home runs and 13 stolen bases. Through his brief nine-game taste of the big leagues, Norby posted a .188/.188/.406 slash line. Currently ranked as the number-five best prospect in the Marlins system on MLB.com, he should be in line to receive another look at the big leagues later this summer.
