Colt McCoy Struggles In Relief Of Kyler Murray
2 years agoArizona Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy went 27-of-40 for 246 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception, adding five carries for 24 yards in their 27-13 loss on Monday night. Kyler Murray suffered a knee injury early in the first quarter, thrusting the 36-year-old into the action. He played well in the first half, but the New England defense was too much to overcome as the game wore on. The veteran signal-caller was sacked six times and pressured constantly, limiting his ability to find receivers and make throws. Having already started two games earlier this season, McCoy is familiar with the role but will be a downgrade for the offensive weapons if he remains the starter.
