3 months agoSeattle Mariners shortstop prospect Colt Emerson has showcased his speed through his first small taste of High-A ball. Emerson has swiped at least one bag in each of his past three games. In the batter's box, Emerson holds a .208/.424/.375 line through seven total games. However, he has reached safely in all but one of them. At Single-A this summer, the 19-year-old posted a stellar .293/.440/.427 line with 25 RBI, 12 doubles, six stolen bases, and a 35:37 BB:K ratio. While he has yet to heat up in the batter's box, his excellent on-base skills have looked just as prevalent at High-A. Emerson remains several seasons away from his major league debut but is a name to keep a close eye on as he sits as the 30th-best prospect in baseball on MLB.com.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
