Coleman Crow Headed To Milwaukee
1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers acquired minor-league right-hander Coleman Crow from the New York Mets on Wednesday in exchange for right-hander Adrian Houser and outfielder Tyrone Taylor, according to a source. It's essentially a salary dump for the Brewers while taking on a young pitcher that is likely to miss all of the 2024 season following Tommy John surgery on his right elbow this August. The 28th-round pick in 2019 is listed as the Brewers' No. 25 prospect on MLB Pipeline. The undersized righty (6-foot, 175 pounds) doesn't have overwhelming stuff and has posted a 4.33 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with 70 walks and 221 strikeouts in 41 minor-league outings (37 starts) over 214 1/3 innings. Crow doesn't have a fastball that will blow hitters away but instead relies on inducing ground balls and soft contact when on the mound.
