Cole Sulser Records Save For Orioles On Sunday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Cole Sulser closed out Sunday's 7-4 win over the Boston Red Sox with a two-inning save, his first of the year. Sulser allowed just one hit with two strikeouts and no walks in the game. Mychal Givens, who appears to be the team's primary closer, closed out the team's previous game, a 7-2 win on Saturday. It's likely that Givens is still the top candidate for saves on the team and that this was just a one-off occurrence. Regardless, keep an eye on the situation going forward as the surprising 2-1 Orioles could provide more save opportunities than we thought.
