4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Cody Poteet struggled in his start on Thursday against the Washington Nationals. Poteet only made it through three innings, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out six. He allowed two home runs to Kyle Schwarber in his first two at bats. Poteet just didn't have it in this one, throwing 77 pitches, 45 for strikes. The loss drops his record to 2-3 and lifts his ERA to 4.99. He's had a couple of rough starts in a row and may be better left on the bench in most fantasy leagues until he gets back on the right track.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
