Cody Hodgson Signs AHL PTO
10 months agoFree agent forward Cody Hodgson has come out of retirement and has signed a professional tryout contract with the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals. The 2008 10th-overall pick was forced to retire in 2016 at just 26 years of age due to ongoing back issues, more specifically a hyperthermia diagnosis, a rare muscle disorder. Hodgson appeared in 328 NHL games in his career, producing 64 goals and 142 points in stints with the Vancouver Canucks, Buffalo Sabres, and Nashville Predators. The Predators are the parent club to the AHL's Admirals as Hodgson looks to make a surprising comeback with the organization in which he last appeared for 39 games during the 2015-16 season.
