Cody Bellinger Won't Play Outfield This Spring
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told L.A. Times reporter Andy McCullough that the club has "no plans" to use first baseman Cody Bellinger in the outfield this spring. Bellinger spent most of his rookie season manning first base but also played all three outfield positions. He's considered a top-25 outfielder, so hopefully the Dodgers will use him at some point so that he can retain dual eligibility for 2019. He's coming off a historic rookie campaign that delivered 4.2 WAR. Buyer beware, though. The holes in his swing were figured out in the playoffs, and he'll need to adjust his approach before being considered an elite fantasy asset.
