1 year agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Codi Heuer (elbow) will miss the remainder of the year. The 26-year-old, who had been working his way back from Tommy John surgery in March 2022, underwent another procedure on Friday to repair an elbow fracture. Heuer last played in 2021 and has a career 10-4 record with a 3.56 ERA, 81 strikeouts, three saves, and 23 holds. It's unknown what the future has in store for the oft-injured right-hander.
