Coby Mayo Hits Game-Winning Home Run On Thursday
8 months agoBaltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo launched the tie-breaking home run in the top of the ninth inning to power Triple-A Norfolk to their fifth victory of the season. The former fourth-round pick has been off to an electric start to the season and is making a case for an early-season call-up. The third baseman is riding a .367/.387/.700 across the first six games of the season. Mayo has already tallied two round-trippers and could very well surpass his previous total of 29. Mayo's fantasy value takes a slight hit in redraft formats as the Baltimore prospect system is quite deep, and he may not be the first name to reach the majors this season. Nonetheless, when he does receive the call, he is worth a pickup due to his potential power output alone.
