Clyde Edwards-Helaire Suffers High-Ankle Sprain
4 years agoUpdating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle, hip) suffered what is believed to be a high-ankle sprain in the Week 15 win to the Saints. He also strained his hip in the 32-29 victory, according to a source. Edwards-Helaire is expected to miss the final two regular season games, with the hope being that he can return for the playoffs. The rookie from LSU is the team's leading rusher with 803 yards and four touchdowns on 181 carries this year. Le'Veon Bell had 15 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown against New Orleans and should become a strong RB2 candidate for Week 16 fantasy championship matchups when the Chiefs take on the Falcons this weekend. With the Chiefs currently in line for a bye in the AFC playoffs, CEH could have a full three weeks to heal up.
