Clint Frazier Intends To Play Through Injury
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier twisted his ankle during Monday night's game in Anaheim as he avoided a pickoff attempt. He was clearly in pain but stayed in the game after manager Aaron Boone and the head trainer evaluated his ankle. The Yankees would win the game, but the 24-year-old would not hide the fact that he was in pain. Afterwards, Frazier said the "injured list was too full" for him to go down with the injury, implying he would play through the pain as a necessity for his team. While that may be heroic, this severely hurts his ability to run the bases and even hit for power. Those who feature Frazier on their rosters may want to sit him for a game or two as he adjusts to playing with the injury.
