6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Clay Holmes will be called up to start against the Giants on Friday. In his two starts for the Bucs this year, Holmes has given up four earned runs on nine hits in 8 1/3 innings for a 4.32 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 8.6 K/9. All four of those runs came in his short outing against the Dodgers on July 4. Overall, he's 1-1 with a 3.65 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 10 K's in 12 1/3 innings and is a mediocre streaming pick in deeper leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
