Clay Holmes Records Tuesday's Save
1 year agoNew York Yankees reliever Clay Holmes earned his ninth save of the season on Tuesday when he closed out the 3-1 win over the Seattle Mariners. He got the last five outs of the contest, giving up no baserunners and striking out a pair. Holmes began the year as New York's primary closer before losing that title in May. However, the 30-year-old now has four saves in June, and his dominant 2.35 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 29.7% strikeout rate should mean he'll keep getting the majority of ninth-inning opportunities. Fantasy managers should roster Holmes in every format with his four-category contributions.
