CJ Abrams Scratched From Sunday’s Lineup
CJ Abrams (shoulder) was scratched from Sunday's lineup with shoulder soreness. The budding superstar was in the starting lineup on Sunday but was removed late as he did not respond well to some pregame work in the batting cage. The 23-year-old is still considered day-to-day and could return to the starting lineup on Monday. Ildemaro Vargas will once again slot in as the starting shortstop for the second consecutive day and bat in the nine-hole. Vargas could be a sneaky play in DFS this afternoon as he faces right-hander Carlos Carrasco, who enters this game with a high 5.16 ERA.
