Christopher Bell Puts NASCAR Garage on Notice with Win at Phoenix
9 months agoChristopher Bell just put the entire NASCAR Cup Series garage on notice with a statement win at Phoenix Raceway this past weekend. Bell's No. 20 Toyota was a rocketship during practice on Friday, and in the second half of the Shriners Children's 500 race on Sunday, the car was able to back up that speed by easily being the class of the field. Bell was able to maneuver through traffic with ease and won the race by 5.465 seconds over Chris Buescher. That dominant of a race car is noteworthy because the Cup Series Championship will be decided at Phoenix in November. If Bell is able to make the Final Four, he will most likely be the favorite to win it all. After his win, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver stated, "Man, this one feels really good... You don't get cars like that very often." This was Bell's seventh Cup Series win in his fifth full-time season.
