Christian Yelich To Be Re-Evaluated Monday

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (elbow) left the game early on Sunday after he was hit by a pitch in the seventh inning, and he'll be re-evaluated on Monday despite being listed as day-to-day. Yelich leads the National League with a .322 batting average and is an MVP candidate. "He's doing OK," Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell said. "He's got a good-sized goose egg on his elbow. We got him out of there, got some ice on it, and we'll just have to see how it is." Yelich hit his 32nd home run of the season in the second inning and hasn't missed a game since the first week of July. He could miss a game or two, but he should be able to return sometime this week with Milwaukee fighting for a playoff spot.
