Christian Wood Records Second Consecutive 20-Point Game
5 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward Christian Wood remained hot on Friday against Memphis, recording his second consecutive game with at least 20 points. He reached 20 on 5-for-8 shooting, which included three successful attempts from downtown. Wood was also busy at the line with a 7-for-9 record, and he almost had a double-double by racking up eight rebounds. The 24-year-old forward always seems to perform well when he gets enough minutes, but sadly it doesn't happen too often, even with Blake Griffin (knee) on the shelf. Andre Drummond (lip laceration) was also missing on Friday. Wood and Thon Maker, who had 11 points and eight rebounds against Memphis, are the guys to target whenever Drummond sits out.
