Christian Walker Picking Up The Pace At The Plate
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker is slowly beginning to pick up the pace at the plate. In Thursday's 7-5 loss to the San Diego Padres, Walker collected three hits while striking out the other two times. After a horrid slump, Walker is slowly beginning to create more contact. Over the past seven games, the 32-year-old is hitting .296/.300/.407 with four RBI. Considering his 32 HR year last season, it's quite imperative for the Dbacks that his bat contributes. On the season, Walker has a .614 OPS with two homers and a .265 wOBA. The Diamondbacks will continue their series against the San Diego Padres as Walker hopes to sustain his recent success at the plate.
