1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker (elbow) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Baltimore Orioles. The veteran first baseman was struck by a pitch on his right elbow during Saturday's contest so it makes sense that he would get Sunday off. The 32-year-old underwent X-rays, which came back negative, so it's good to hear that he avoided a serious injury. He's likely just dealing with some soreness so Pavin Smith will cover first base and bat sixth against Jack Flaherty and the Orioles. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on the D-Backs' lineup ahead of Monday's series opener against the Colorado Rockies to see if Walker is back in there.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
