Chris Kreider Breaks Rangers Power-Play Goals Record
3 years agoNew York Rangers left wing Chris Kreider set a new franchise record for most power-play goals scored in a single season Tuesday against New Jersey, netting his 25th goal of the campaign with the man advantage. He started things off with an assist on the power play before going on to score himself and recording the game-winning goal in an eventual 3-1 victory. The Rangers' record for most power-play goals in a season had stood since 2005-06 when Jaromir Jagr had a 24-goal year. The overall goals record is also on Jagr's name from the same season with 54. Kreider is on 47 goals with 11 games to go and should have a great chance of breaking that record as well.
