The Kansas City Chiefs signed star defensive tackle Chris Jones to a five-year contract on Saturday. His new deal includes $95 million guaranteed. It's the highest-ever annual salary for a defensive tackle. The All-Pro lineman surpasses Aaron Donald annually but still puts him behind Nick Bosa as the highest-paid defensive player. Jones sat out Week 1 of last season during a contract dispute with the Chiefs but eventually settled on a one-year deal ahead of Week 2's contest against the Jaguars. The 29-year-old racked up 30 tackles and 10.5 sacks, including 29 quarterback hits over 16 games in 2023. Jones solidifies the Chief's defensive line and is the heart and soul of Kansas City's defense as they vie for their third straight Super Bowl title.--Brad Camara - RotoBallerRead More News
