Chris Gittens Plates Three Runs
3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Chris Gittens came up big as a pinch hitter in Thursday's 8-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Manager Aaron Boone called on Gittens with runners on second and third in the seventh inning- and the slugging first baseman delivered. He ripped a 106 MPH single, scoring both runners, then later added a 100.4 MPH sacrifice fly. Gittens was 0-for-13 since being called up but is 2-for-5 with a homer and four RBI in his last two games played. Look for the Yankees to keep Gittens in the lineup Friday against the Oakland Athletics while he's hot. He's a low-cost DFS option for Friday's slate.
