Chris Davis Scratched From Lineup Tuesday
6 years agoAfter breaking out of his slump over the last couple of days, Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis has been scratched from Tuesday's game with what the club is calling an illness. The 33-year-old was stricken with the worst slump in MLB history but picked up four hits and drove in six runs at Fenway Park. Davis was originally in Tuesday's starting lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays and was batting seventh, but he has now been replaced by Trey Mancini, who will switch from right field to first. This allows Joey Rickard to enter the lineup in Davis' place.
