6 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis (hip) expects to return to the team when his 10-day injured list stint is up. That means that Davis would forego a rehab assignment in the minor leagues. The 33-year-old left-handed hitter has been one of the worst hitters in baseball this year, going 22-for-129 (.171) with five homers and 17 RBI while striking out 57 times and walking just 13 times. He can bring occasional pop but shouldn't be owned in any mixed leagues at this point. Trey Mancini has mostly been filling in at first base with Davis on the shelf.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
