Chris Archer With Short Outing Saturday Versus Minnesota
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer made his second start since his return Saturday versus the Twins. The hope was that he would go fairly deep but he lasted only 4 1/3 innings allowing two runs (one earned). He was fairly solid but the Twins worked some long at-bats and got him up to 93 pitches when he was pulled. Archer should continue to build up his stamina and coaches' faith going forward. He has the potential to be a SP2 going forward.
