7 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer showed a flash of his upside Thursday versus Los Angeles. He went 6 2/3 innings while allowing a run. He would strike out five while giving up only two hits. Archer would earn his third win of the season. He has pitched over 200 innings each of the past three seasons and has struck out at least 233 batters in each season. The troubling part is that his ERA has been just over 4.00 the last two seasons and his win-loss record has been 19-31 those two seasons. He has the upside to be a strong fantasy asset, but the weakness of the Rays will impact his winning potential.--Jamie Mellor
