Chiefs Bring Back Andrew Wylie
4 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs re-signed offensive tackle Andrew Wylie to a one-year, $2.133 million deal Tuesday and released quarterback Jordan Ta'amu in a corresponding move. The restricted free agent was tendered a contract offer back in mid-March, and Wylie signed the tender on Tuesday. He signed with the team in 2018 and has become a reliable and valuable depth player on the team's offensive line. Wylie has started 35 games at three different positions in the last three seasons for Kansas City. But with the guard position being extremely competitive heading into 2021, he'll have to prove his worth alongside players like Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Joe Thuney, Kyle Long, Austin Blythe and Trey Smith.
