Chase Elliott Finishes Second At Sonoma On Sunday
3 years agoChase Elliott was able to get by Kyle Larson a couple of times on Sunday. However, on the final restart, Elliott just never had a line to get past his teammate. Still, the Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver finished second. Elliott even led 13 laps (Larson led 57). Usually, it is the No. 9 that dominates the laps led on road courses but not this time. There were times with the 750 horsepower package that Elliott just had problems in crucial moments -- particularly when it came to passing on shorter runs. As a result, he just could not get by Larson.
