Chase DeLauter Doing Baseball Activities
6 months agoCleveland Guardians outfield prospect Chase DeLauter (foot) began performing baseball activities on Sunday. This is a great sign for the top prospect in the Cleveland system, as he was diagnosed with a broken foot earlier this season. The 22-year-old has yet to begin running, but this is a big step in the right direction. DeLauter appeared in only 16 games this season with Double-A Akron but posted an incredible .355/.417/.528 slash line in 57 games in the minor leagues in 2023. The number 21 overall prospect on MLB Pipeline should be able to return to the minor leagues later in the summer but may have to wait until next season to make his major league debut. He should remain rostered in dynasty and keeper leagues but has a slim chance of being valuable in redraft leagues.
