Charlie Morton Wants To Keep Playing
6 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Charlie Morton, who is 34 years old and a pending free agent, said he would like to continue his playing career. The veteran right-hander struggled down the stretch while battling an injury and was touched up in his ALCS start against the Red Sox, but otherwise he was once again fantastic this year, going 15-3 with a 3.13 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and career-high 10.8 K/9 in 30 starts. Even if he departs Houston this offseason, Morton should remain in play in all mixed leagues in 2019.
