7 years agoBoston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy will miss at least a month with a left knee injury. The rookie was injured during the first period of the Bruins March 3 matchup against the Montreal Canadiens. McAvoy had been playing on Boston’s top defensive pairing with captain Zdeno Chara, earning 32 points in 59 games played. The 20-year-old will be missed during his absence, as Boston will play 19 games in the final 34 days of the regular season.--Alex McKenzie
