5 years agoThe Colorado Rockies placed outfielder Charlie Blackmon (calf) on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a right calf strain and recalled outfielder Yonathan Daza from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move. Outfielder Noel Cuevas was activated from the injured list and optioned to Triple-A. Blackmon's injured list stint is retroactive to last Friday. The 32-year-old hasn't played since last Thursday. He's hitting .300/.356/.565 with 10 home runs and a National League-best five triples, so he needs to be stashed everywhere. Ian Desmond, Raimel Tapia and David Dahl should see most of the outfield starts with Blackmon sidelined, but Daza is starting in center field and batting eighth on Monday against Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zack Greinke.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
