Charlie Blackmon Goes Yard In Saturday's Win
4 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon had the team's biggest hit of the day in their 7-6 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. Blackmon hit a two-run home run off of Diamondbacks starter Madison Bumgarner in the sixth inning that gave the team a lead that would never be relinquished. It was his only hit of the game as he went 1-for-4. Blackmon has struggled at the plate this year. Saturday's home run was just his third of the year. He is slashing .246/.342/.370 over 42 games. He has an xBA of .307 and a sturdy hard-hit rate of 45.6%, so hopefully better times are ahead.
