2 years agoThe New York Yankees have placed relief pitcher Chad Green (elbow) on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow strain. Fellow right-handed pitcher Ron Marinaccio was called up from Triple-A to take his roster spot. Green has had some tests run on his arm over the past few days. The Yankees haven't released any specifics in regards to what the tests have revealed, but the expectation is that Green is facing an extended absence. The 30-year-old has appeared in 14 games this year and he's pitched to a 3.00 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP while racking up three holds and a save. Luckily for the Bronx Bombers, the team has a loaded bullpen that should be able to capably manage high-leverage innings even with Green out.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
