New York Islanders forward Casey Cizikas (lower body) was a full practice participant on Wednesday and could return Thursday when the Isles play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The veteran pivot has missed the past 10 games due to a lower-body injury suffered when he blocked a Filip Hronek shot in a 5-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 9. A reliable defensive forward, Cizikas has long been the Islanders' fourth-line center and has recorded five goals and 11 points across 39 games on the season. He scored as many as 20 goals in the 2018-19 season, when he also recorded a career-high 33 points. The Islanders currently sit fourth in the Atlantic Division with a 21-17-2 record and beat the Maple Leafs 3-2 in their first game out of the All-Star break on Monday.--Brenton Kemp
