Case Keenum Still The Redskins Starter
5 years agoWashington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said that quarterback Case Keenum remains the starter under center. The problem is that Keenum is dealing with a foot injury and didn't practice on Wednesday. His status for Week 4 against the Giants is in question. Colt McCoy is an option to replace Keenum if he can't play, but we'd bet on it being rookie Dwayne Haskins instead. Those in two-QB leagues that are desperate at the position need to pick up Haskins now if he's available, but he'd be no more than a low-end QB2 with some upside if he makes his NFL debut this Sunday. If Keenum plays at less than 100 percent, he, too, would be a weak QB2 for Week 4, even in a solid matchup.
