Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart will be in between the pipes as his team hosts the Boston Bruins on Wednesday. The third-year NHL'er will face the Bruins for the third time in a matter of two weeks with Hart struggling mightily in the first two contests (allowed 10 goals on 69 shots against). Hart seems to have righted the ship after a tough start to the 2020-2021 campaign and is looking to produce his third straight start of allowing two or less goals against. The 22-year-old should be trusted in starting lineups even against a tough opponent on Wednesday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller

Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart (illness) will get back to work against the Red Wings on Friday. The 25-year-old has been battling an illness lately and hasn't seen any game action since Dec. 9. Hart beat Colorado in his last outing to pick up a third consecutive win. He's had a solid year with a 9-6-1 record while allowing 2.42 goals with a .919 save percentage. Meeting Detroit has always suited Hart, as he has gone 7-3-0 in the matchup in his career. Hart should have a good chance of improving the record on Friday, as the Red Wings have been slumping lately, winning just once in their past eight outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart (back) made his return to the crease and stopped 31-of-32 shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-1 victory against the Hurricanes. Hart was initially sidelined with a back injury and later dealt with an illness, forcing the 25-year-old to miss a five game stretch in the first half of November. Hurricanes forward Stefan Noesen scored at even-strength at the midway point of the second period, resulting in the only goal surrendered by the Flyers netminder. Hart has posted a record of 5-3-0 to go along with an excellent 2.34 goals against average and .921 save percentage through nine appearances.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller

Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart (back) is expected to return to the crease for Wednesday night's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 25-year-old was expected to return from a back injury on Thursday but remained sidelined, while he last appeared on Nov. 1 when he surrendered two goals on five shots in 10 minutes of work in an eventual 5-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. Otherwise, it's been a solid start to the season for the former first-round pick, who has posted a 2.52 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage across eight games, going 4-3-0 in that time. Samuel Ersson has seen the bulk of playing time in Hart's absence but has struggled to a 3.43 GAA and .855 save percentage across six contests.--Brenton Kemp

The 25-year-old has been dealing with a back issue and has not appeared since allowing two goals on five shots in just 10 minutes of work in a Nov. 1 contest against the Buffalo Sabres, an eventual 5-2 defeat. Hart has otherwise enjoyed a solid season, working to a 2.52 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage across eight starts, going 4-3-0 in the process.
