Carter Hart Registers Career-High 48 Saves
2 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart was in spectacular form against the Panthers Thursday night, finishing a 4-3 victory with a career-high 48 saves. It's the highest single-game save total by a Flyers goalie in six years. Hart actually had a bad start in the game, when he allowed two goals inside the first eight minutes, but he managed to save the rest of Florida's 19 first-period shots and only gave up one power-play goal after that. The 24-year-old also became the seventh netminder in franchise history to win each of his first five games of a season. He's been very sharp early on with a 2.00 goals-against average and a .947 save percentage, but how long it will last is anybody's guess, as the Flyers are clearly overperforming at present.
