6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) "hasn't been ruled out" for Week 2 against the Buccaneers, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. However, Wentz also has yet to be cleared by doctors. "He has reached that threshold in being able to protect himself. So, sooner than later on Carson Wentz," Mortensen said. Regardless, Wentz may be unlikely to play next week against a weak Buccaneers team who will also be missing their starting quarterback in Jameis Winston. As long as Wentz is out, Nick Foles will remain under center. He was very shaky in the season opener, but Foles should be a more attractive two-QB league option against Tampa.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
