Carson Kelly Resting Sunday
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks backstop Carson Kelly is missing from Sunday's lineup to take on Tanner Bibee and the Cleveland Guardians. The 28-year-old has only played four games this year after dealing with a forearm strain to begin the season. Kelly has yet to get a knock through 15 plate appearances. Gabriel Moreno, who was the starting catcher before Kelly returned, is in the lineup and batting seventh. The sophomore is running a strong .279 batting average and has added two homers, 13 runs, 24 RBI, and three steals across 55 games. Moreno will likely split catching duties with Kelly, limiting his value for the rest of 2023, but he's still a great asset in dynasty leagues.
