Carson Kelly Continues Strong Season

Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Carson Kelly continued his hot start to the season with a 2-for-4 game against the Miami Marlins. The Arizona backstop drove in Josh VanMeter on an RBI double in the eighth inning while also scoring on a David Peralta RBI double back in the fifth. Routinely undervalued heading into the season, Kelly has reminded everyone that 2020 was just a small sample size cold streak. The 26-year-old catcher entered Tuesday's contest leading the National League in on-base percentage while hitting six homers on a 196 OPS+. With Daulton Varsho clearly not a threat to Kelly's playing time, this catcher has seen his mixed-league value soar. Kelly ranks as the top backstop in standard leagues, and he should continue to rank among the top catchers in the game moving forward.
