Carlos Santana Starts Second Half On Positive Note
6 years agoTrying to forget a very troubling first half, Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Carlos Santana began his second half with a bang in his club's blowout win over the San Diego Padres. The former Cleveland Indian drove in his club’s first run with a grounder but later drove in three more with a three-run bomb in the second inning. Ultimately, the Phillies won, 11-5, but Santana’s big hit could be the breakthrough he so desperately needs. Entering Friday night, he was hitting just .173 across his last 30 games.
